Beautiful one-of-a-kind enamel earrings with rose cut faceted emerald stones. All set in sterling silver, these earrings are lightweight and have forward and back movement. I purchase my stones from stone dealers who practice ethical sourcing practices and fair trade practices. The enamel is applied in a process called sgraffito, which is where a fine layer of enamel is painted on the surface and “scratched” through to reveal the white underneath. The pattern is fired into the base coat of enamel in a 1500 degree kiln. I finish the pieces with a thin coat of clear enamel that is under-fired forming a textured surface. They measure 2.5”x1.25”.
